Verbatim Court Reporter

Job Summary

To support a dynamic legal transcription environment, the contracted Verbatim Court Reporter Transcriptionist will transcribe court proceedings and depositions from audio recordings with a focus on accuracy and adherence to strict formatting rules while working remotely and managing a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions from audio recordings in a verbatim format
• Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and compliance with court formatting rules
• Demonstrate knowledge of legal terminologies and manage turnaround times for transcription tasks

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in verbatim transcription of court proceedings and trials
• AAERT certification preferred for applicants
• Ability to distinguish and format Q&A and colloquy content
• Competence in transcription software and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to complete a skills assessment test
