Verification Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Verification Coordinator to manage patient authorization processes and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to determine payer type, co-pay, and authorization requirements
• Submit authorization requests and track their status until approval is received
• Contact patients to explain insurance coverage and collect necessary information

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare or insurance authorization required
• Experience with managed care organizations preferred
• Familiarity with WellSky EMR System and home health care desired
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits and authorization processes
