Verification of Benefits Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing revenue cycle team, the fully remote Verification of Benefits Specialist will verify insurance eligibility and benefits for behavioral health and telehealth admissions while collaborating with admissions, billing, and utilization review teams to ensure accurate financial clearance.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using various payer portals and direct carrier outreach
• Interpret and document insurance coverage details, including plan types and financial responsibilities
• Enter accurate insurance and patient data into Salesforce and EHR systems while ensuring compliance with documentation standards

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in VOB, insurance verification, revenue cycle, or patient access
• Strong knowledge of insurance plans and benefit structures (HMO, PPO, EPO, POS)
• Experience with Salesforce and payer portals such as Availity
• Understanding of revenue cycle flow, including eligibility, verification, authorization, and billing
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with strong attention to detail
