Verification Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely with a schedule of Sunday through Wednesday, the full-time Verification Specialist will examine patient eligibility for home care services, ensuring clear communication with patients and families throughout the verification process.

Key responsibilities:

• Communicate with patients and families regarding insurance verification and billing processes, ensuring understanding of coverage and out-of-pocket costs
• Evaluate patient eligibility for services and verify necessary documentation for billing compliance
• Stay current with agency policies and CMS guidelines, completing required documentation and reporting as needed

Required qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Two years of experience in the insurance verification or healthcare field
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines and familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to meet all physical demands of the role
