Job Summary

A school district is seeking a Vermont State Licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting resource teacher, adaptive equipment instruction, orientation & mobility instruction, daily living skills, low vision equipment adaptation, braille, facilitated IEP meetings, liaison between parents, teachers, ophthalmologist, & community, advocacy for students and educational tutoring
  • Working with K-12 students with mild to moderate visual impairments
  • Following school hours schedule
Required Qualifications:
  • Teaching certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Vermont
  • Experience in teaching visually impaired students is preferred
  • Ability to work remotely and utilize telehealth technology
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for advocating for visually impaired students
