Veterans Billing Specialist
Job Summary
Resolving billing issues related to diagnostic testing, the full-time Veterans Billing Specialist will ensure facilities bill VES directly rather than the Veteran, conduct outreach to medical facilities, and maintain accurate records in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Update facility billing information and request claims processing payments
- Conduct outbound outreach to clarify billing requirements and coordinate invoice reassignment
- Provide Veterans with confirmation of resolution and maintain a daily log of follow-ups
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One to two years of related experience in insurance or medical billing
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a training schedule of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CT, Monday-Friday for up to 3 weeks
- Permanent residence in the Continental U.S. is required
