Veterinary Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims Processing Specialist who will be responsible for reviewing invoices and pet medical documents to determine coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Review individual policies to make eligibility determinations with high accuracy
• Contact internal departments, veterinarians, and clinic staff to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Use PC-based programs to enter data, communicate with team members, and issue claim decisions

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of recent clinical veterinary experience as a veterinary assistant, technician, or veterinarian
• Knowledge of veterinary terms, medical conditions, and associated treatments
• Ability to read and interpret medical records both written and digital
• Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
