Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Veterinary Editorial Writer for a part-time contract role, the candidate will develop six in-depth veterinary case stories annually for the Lifesaver campaign, transforming complex toxicology cases into engaging narratives for veterinary professionals and pet parents while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop approximately six in-depth veterinary case stories per year for publication
• Participate in and guide interviews with treating veterinarians and relevant stakeholders
• Translate complex veterinary toxicology information into accurate and compelling editorial content

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience writing about veterinary medicine or closely related clinical topics
• Strong understanding of the veterinary professional audience and their information needs
• Excellent editorial storytelling and long-form writing skills
• Experience interviewing veterinarians or other technical professionals
• Ability to balance professional veterinary terminology with accessibility for non-clinical readers
