Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant

Job Summary

To support veterinary clients across Canada, the full-time remote Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant will provide expert medical consultations in small animal internal medicine, focusing on diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and disease prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver peer-to-peer medical consultations with professionalism and empathy, guiding clients on laboratory results and case management
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic offerings and services, fostering strong relationships with veterinary clients
• Contribute to team culture by supporting colleagues and participating in the development of educational resources

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active veterinary license
• Completed residency training and board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or ECVIM)
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience post-certification
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
• Strong commitment to medical excellence and continuous professional development
