Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant

Job Summary

To support veterinary clients across North America, the full-time remote Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant will provide expert medical consultations, focusing on diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and case management for small animal internal medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver peer-to-peer medical consultation with professionalism and empathy, guiding clients on laboratory results and case management
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of services and proprietary testing while cultivating strong relationships with clients
• Contribute to team culture by sharing clinical knowledge and participating in the development of internal resources

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active license in the relevant state or province
• Board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or EVCIM) and a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-certification
• Fluency in English; bilingualism in French is a plus
• Proficiency in utilizing multiple IT platforms and adapting to evolving technology
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a remote setting
