Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant

Job Summary

Providing expert medical consultation to veterinary clients, the full-time remote Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant will deliver peer-to-peer guidance on diagnostic reasoning, test selection, and treatment planning for small animal internal medicine cases.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver peer-to-peer medical consultation with professionalism and empathy, focusing on laboratory result interpretation and case management
• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of services and proprietary testing to support veterinary clients effectively
• Contribute to team culture by sharing clinical knowledge and participating in the development of internal learning resources

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active license in the relevant state or province
• Residency trained and board-certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or EVCIM)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience post-board certification
• Fluency in English; bilingualism in French is a plus
