Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant

Job Summary

To support veterinary clients across North America, the full-time remote Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultant will provide expert medical consultation in small animal internal medicine, focusing on diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and case management.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver peer-to-peer medical consultation to veterinary clients, offering guidance on laboratory result interpretation and case management
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of services and proprietary testing while cultivating rapport with clients
• Contribute to team culture by supporting colleagues and participating in the development of internal learning materials

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active license in the relevant state or province
• Residency trained and board-certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or EVCIM)
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience post-board certification
• Fluency in English; bilingualism in French is a plus
• Proven ability to engage with emerging literature and apply diagnostic knowledge in consultations
