Veterinary Medical Consultant DVM
Job Summary
Providing expert consultation in veterinary medicine, the full-time Veterinary Medical Consultant DVM will serve as a clinical and technical authority for medical device regulatory reviews, working remotely to support internal and external stakeholders with scientific and technical advice.
Key responsibilities
- Offer expert consultant services regarding the use of animal models in human medical device regulatory reviews
- Provide consultation to review teams on the planning and assessment of animal studies for medical device validation
- Assist in writing reviews and developing documentation related to medical device submissions and communications
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent with an unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the U.S
- Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) or Board certifications in a related field are strongly preferred
- A minimum of 7 years of clinical, academic, or industry experience
- General knowledge of medical device development technical disciplines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
