Veterinary Pathologist Licensed in State

Job Summary

To diagnose diseases and causes of death in companion and laboratory animals, the full-time Clinical Pathologist Licensed in State will examine body tissues, fluids, and hematologic specimens while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Describe and interpret cytologic preparations and generate pathology narrative reports
• Consult with veterinarians regarding diseases detected in sample tissues and fluids
• Participate in pathology rounds and provide scientific advice to laboratory staff and veterinarians

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
• Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Pathologists
• Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment is a plus
• Proficiency in using dictation software, such as Dragon, is preferred
