Job Summary
To diagnose diseases and causes of death in companion and laboratory animals, the full-time Clinical Pathologist Licensed in State will examine body tissues, fluids, and hematologic specimens while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Describe and interpret cytologic preparations and generate pathology narrative reports
- Consult with veterinarians regarding diseases detected in sample tissues and fluids
- Participate in pathology rounds and provide scientific advice to laboratory staff and veterinarians
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
- Diplomat of American College of Veterinary Pathologists
- Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective state
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment is a plus
- Proficiency in using dictation software, such as Dragon, is preferred
