Veterinary Research Mentor

Job Summary

Supporting high-achieving pre-vet students, the part-time remote Veterinary Research Mentor will guide them through the development and completion of original literature-based research projects in veterinary medicine and related disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor students through the full research process, from topic selection to manuscript development
• Guide students in developing high-quality research questions aligned with their academic goals
• Provide structured feedback on research plans and written drafts while tracking progress against milestones

Required qualifications

• DVM, PhD, or both in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience conducting academic or veterinary research
• Strong background in literature review, research methodology, and scientific writing
• Experience mentoring students or trainees
• A passion for mentorship and student development
