Job Summary

Working remotely on a freelance basis, the Veterinary Translator will translate a clinical pathology book for small animals from English into German, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure target text accurately reflects the meaning of the source material
• Perform linguistic tasks according to project instructions, including the use of translation memory and glossaries
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy and consistency in terminology while adhering to formatting and style guidelines

Required qualifications

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Native German speaker with excellent English comprehension and writing skills
• Preferred experience in translation and proofreading within the veterinary field
• Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new tools
• Strong linguistic and cultural understanding of both source and target languages
