Job Summary
Working remotely on a 12-month contract, the VFX Artist will create and implement real-time particle effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematics in games.
Key responsibilities
- Create, design, and implement real-time particle effects using 2D/3D elements
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper FX integration in the game engine
- Optimize FX for framerate and memory while maintaining the overall art style of the game
Required qualifications
- Five plus years of professional experience or equivalent education and experience
- Proficiency in Maya and Houdini, with skills in keyframing and UV mapping
- Experience with node-based shader networks and creating FX textures
- Intermediate knowledge of computer graphics fundamentals and artistic analysis
- Solid traditional arts background is a plus
