Vice President, Data Governance

Job Summary

To support a growing organization focused on protecting vulnerable populations, the full-time remote Vice President, Data Governance will manage the operationalization of data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data is trusted and responsibly used.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders to mature the enterprise Data Governance program and establish a global Data Stewardship model
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into scalable processes and promote Privacy by Design across systems and AI solutions
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to align data protection requirements with technical security controls and incident response strategies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Master's degree preferred in Information Management, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to align AI strategy, technology, governance, risk, and operations with business growth and compliance
• Proven skill in leading technology governance initiatives influencing executive decision-making
• Expertise in operating within regulated or global environments and building strategic relationships across stakeholder audiences
