Vice President Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President, Legal to lead and execute its legal strategy with a focus on complex business development transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy and execution for complex transactions, including licensing and joint ventures
• Collaborate with R&D teams to refine research plans and ensure alignment with contractual terms
• Manage external counsel and oversee contract workflows to improve efficiency and compliance

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited institution
• Degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field (bachelor's minimum; advanced degree preferred)
• Significant experience in life sciences transactions with a demonstrable deal history
• Experience at a well-regarded law firm with high-volume transactional experience
• In-house legal experience at a biotech or life sciences company is strongly preferred
