Job Summary

Leading the strategy and management of a diverse alternative investments portfolio, the full-time remote Vice President of Alternatives will focus on sourcing, underwriting, and overseeing equity alternatives and third-party fund investments while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and capital needs.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and manage equity alternatives and fund investment programs, including strategic pacing plans and sub-asset class allocations
  • Oversee performance monitoring, valuation reviews, and representation on Limited Partner Advisory Committees
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of third-party managers and funds for portfolio inclusion while conducting thorough due diligence
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant investment experience, particularly in alternatives at insurance general accounts or similar institutions
  • Expertise in private equity, real assets, infrastructure equity, and hedge fund strategies
  • Strong understanding of insurance investment frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation preferred
