Vice President of Architecture

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Vice President of Architecture, this remote position will define and govern the enterprise technical architecture, establish architectural standards, and lead a team of architects to ensure consistency and quality across the engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and consolidate enterprise architectural standards and NorthStar principles across acquired entities
• Lead the enterprise architecture team and the architect guild, promoting alignment with enterprise standards while maintaining team autonomy
• Establish and chair an architecture review process to evaluate initiatives and ensure transparency in architectural decisions

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technical architecture, with 5+ years in a VP or Sr. Director role
• Proven track record of leading architecture functions and influencing engineering organizations toward consistent standards
• Deep expertise in modern application architecture, cloud platforms, and data platforms
• Experience in establishing architecture review processes and governance councils in complex environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
