Vice President of Communication Underwriting

Job Summary

To provide strategic leadership and enhance underwriting operations, the remote Vice President of Communication Underwriting will oversee all underwriting communication, mentor leaders, and ensure adherence to company and regulatory guidelines while collaborating with various internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Communication Underwriting department, fostering a culture of operational excellence and client service
• Oversee underwriting communication with internal teams and external partners, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Establish and enforce underwriting guidelines and policies, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Mortgage Underwriting
• Extensive knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional underwriting guidelines
• Proven ability to lead large underwriting teams and drive operational performance improvements
• Strong strategic thinking and executive decision-making skills
• Experience in managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment
