Vice President of Data Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP, Data Science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the roadmaps for the data science and research and development (R&D) subdomains
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data science and R&D priorities
• Guide data science and R&D through complex tradeoffs and champion a culture of accountability and collaboration

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Data Science
• 10+ years of professional data science experience
• 5+ years of experience managing data teams with a focus on leadership development and performance management
• Deep understanding of the data science lifecycle and strong cross-functional leadership skills
• Technical fluency with AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, and scripting languages like Python, R, SQL
