Job Summary
Leading the development sciences functions, the full-time Vice President of Development will provide scientific strategy and operational leadership for genetic disease programs, overseeing nonclinical pharmacology, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology, and quantitative sciences in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct nonclinical PK/PD strategy and oversee ADME and DMPK characterization to support candidate selection
- Lead biomarker identification and drive clinical biomarker qualifications to support proof of concept
- Manage first-in-human through Phase 2 early clinical development and provide leadership across data analytics and pharmacometrics
Required Qualifications
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Minimum 12+ years of biopharmaceutical drug development experience with significant technical leadership roles
- Substantial experience in nonclinical through early clinical development with a track record of advancing programs into first-in-human
- Demonstrated leadership across nonclinical pharmacology, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology, or quantitative sciences
- Experience in a lean, clinical-stage environment with significant reliance on CROs and external vendors
