Vice President of Development Operations

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Vice President of Development Operations, this role will manage clinical operations and outsourcing, ensuring high-quality execution of clinical programs while fostering a culture of operational excellence and compliance within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the operational strategy for the Development organization, ensuring scalable systems and processes
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical programs, managing timelines, budgets, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Build and lead a high-performing Development Operations team, focusing on hiring, mentorship, and performance management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of experience in clinical development operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Deep expertise in clinical operations and CRO/vendor governance in oncology trials
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining SOPs in a GCP-regulated environment
• Strong financial acumen and experience with clinical trial budget management and vendor contracting
