Vice President of Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of 100-200 engineers, the remote Vice President of Engineering will define and drive engineering strategy, develop experienced engineering leaders, and build systems that foster growth and retention while managing a significant budget and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement engineering strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead and develop engineering directors and managers to enhance team performance
• Build organizational systems that support engineer growth and retention

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in senior engineering leadership roles
• Proven track record of delivering scaled software products generating over $500 million in annual revenue
• Experience managing a budget of $20 million+ and leading large, high-performing teams
• Strong technical leadership and ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
