Vice President of Investment Accounting

Job Summary

Serving as a forward-thinking subject matter expert, the remote Vice President of Investment Accounting Policy will manage technical accounting research and application for the organization's complex investment portfolio under U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory requirements, while collaborating across functions and integrating emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical specialist for complex investment asset classes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting
• Serve as the main point of contact for the investment office on complex transactions, collaborating with financial reporting teams
• Monitor and analyze developments from regulatory bodies that may impact the company's accounting policies and practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA or CA) required
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in investment accounting and public accounting
• Demonstrable experience with accounting for complex investment asset classes, particularly in consolidation assessments
• Strong written and communication skills to represent technical accounting positions effectively
• Ability to keep abreast of developments in U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting guidance
