Vice President of Legal

Job Summary

To lead all legal operations with a strategic approach, the full-time remote Vice President of Legal will manage government contracting, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance while serving as the sole in-house legal counsel supported by outside experts.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on federal procurement, negotiating contracts and supporting proposal reviews
• Negotiate and manage commercial and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory laws
• Develop legal and risk management strategies that align with business objectives and support growth

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• 7 to 10 years of law practice experience with a focus on government contracts and SaaS transactions
• Strong knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and government data rights, with experience negotiating with primes and contracting officers
• Significant experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements in the technology sector
• Working knowledge of privacy and data protection compliance, including GDPR and US state laws
