Vice President of Legal & Compliance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President of Legal & Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior legal advisor on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters
• Oversee the company's compliance program and manage corporate governance matters
• Lead negotiation of commercial agreements and manage disputes, claims, and litigation

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 10+ years of legal experience, including in-house or a combination of law firm and in-house experience
• Experience advising senior executives on complex legal and compliance matters
• Strong judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs
• Preferred experience in a Series B-D or pre-IPO environment and in regulated industries
