Vice President of Security

Job Summary

Leading the security function of the organization, the full-time remote Vice President of Security will define and execute a long-term security strategy that protects sensitive health data, enables AI innovation, and supports enterprise growth while collaborating closely with engineering and data science teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-impact security organization, including GRC, SecOps, and AI-focused security capabilities
• Design and evolve a security architecture that safeguards sensitive health data while facilitating rapid product development
• Oversee cloud security, infrastructure hardening, and corporate device management strategies, including incident response capabilities

Required qualifications

• Experience building and scaling security programs in healthcare or other regulated environments
• Proven track record in developing modern cloud security architectures, particularly within AWS
• Strong expertise in identity and access management practices and secure SDLC processes
• Experience leading SOC 2 programs, with HITRUST exposure being a plus
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in high-growth startup environments and build scalable systems
