Vice President of Security

Job Summary

Leading the security function of the organization, the full-time Vice President of Security will define and execute a long-term security strategy to protect sensitive health data, enable AI innovation, and support enterprise growth, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-impact security organization, including GRC, SecOps, and AI-focused security capabilities
• Design and evolve a security architecture that safeguards sensitive health data while facilitating rapid product development
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to embed secure-by-design principles into architecture and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Required qualifications

• Experience building and scaling security programs in healthcare or regulated environments
• Proven track record in developing modern cloud security architectures, particularly within AWS
• Strong background in identity and access management, data protection strategies, and secure SDLC processes
• Experience leading SOC 2 programs, with exposure to HITRUST being a plus
• Ability to navigate high-growth startup environments and establish systems designed for scalability
