Vice President of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineering managers and software engineers, the fully remote Vice President of Software Engineering will oversee the end-to-end software engineering function, drive technical strategy, and ensure high-quality software delivery while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and mentorship to the development team, supporting talent acquisition and career development initiatives
• Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company's software engineering roadmap and architecture standards
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, championing agile methodologies and quality assurance processes

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 6-8 years in senior leadership roles
• Strong background in modern software development languages, frameworks, and architectures
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• Experience in a smaller company or scaling environment, with familiarity in SaaS or product-led growth models
