Job Summary
To lead nonclinical safety programs for oligonucleotide therapeutics, the fully remote Vice President of Toxicology will develop integrated safety strategies, oversee toxicology studies, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee nonclinical safety strategies and toxicology study designs for oligonucleotide therapeutic programs
- Manage CROs and external partners, ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance in study execution
- Author toxicology sections of regulatory submissions and represent toxicology in interactions with global regulatory authorities
Required Qualifications
- PhD, DVM, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in toxicology, pharmacology, pathology, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of biopharmaceutical toxicology experience, with a focus on leading nonclinical safety programs
- Direct experience in developing oligonucleotide therapeutics and designing GLP toxicology studies
- Strong understanding of oligonucleotide-related toxicities and clinical pathology
- Proven ability to manage CROs and collaborate cross-functionally with various scientific teams
