Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President, Underwriting - Employee Benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead underwriting strategies for Employee Benefits products, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness
  • Build and scale a high-performing underwriting organization through talent recruitment and development
  • Oversee complex case underwriting and implement technology and automation in underwriting processes
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in Employee Benefits underwriting with knowledge of small group and mid-market segments
  • Direct experience with underwriting Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, and Supplemental Health products
  • Proven leadership experience in underwriting teams, preferably at the VP level or equivalent
  • Experience with large aggregators such as PEOs and national brokers
  • Strong background in process engineering and technology modernization in underwriting
