Job Summary
Leading the underwriting operations for the Northeast Region, the full-time remote Vice President of Underwriting will drive profitable growth, oversee a team of underwriters, and manage broker relationships while executing strategic business plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all underwriting operations and business performance for the Northeast Zone, focusing on profitable premium growth and portfolio management
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing underwriting team while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key wholesale brokers and strategic distribution partners to expand market share
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of commercial casualty underwriting experience, preferably in E&S or specialty insurance
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing underwriting teams and regional operations
- Strong technical underwriting expertise with the ability to evaluate complex casualty risks
- Proven success in leading profitable growth within a wholesale distribution model
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills with a strategic mindset
