Vice President of Underwriting

Job Summary

To enhance the Structured Finance practice, the full-time Vice President of Underwriting will analyze, evaluate, structure, and close asset-based loans while managing borrower relationships in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead due diligence on loan and investment opportunities, collaborating closely with senior management
• Evaluate senior financing requests and create investment theses for transaction recommendations
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with clients to foster strong, positive relationships post-transaction

Required qualifications:

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant financial services experience, with 5-6 years in Fund/Lender Finance preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel for financial modeling
• Strong financial statement analysis skills and a solid understanding of accounting and finance concepts
