Job Summary

To support a growing MCAT preparation company, the full-time remote Video Editor will manage the editing of both long-form and short-form video content, collaborating with on-camera creators to produce polished, engaging videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Key responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube videos and podcast episodes, ensuring high-quality final cuts with attention to color, sound, and graphics
• Produce high-volume short-form videos for social media, focusing on engaging pacing and effective storytelling
• Collaborate closely with creators to provide filmmaking advice and maintain brand consistency across all video content

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in editing professional YouTube and/or podcast content for the Senior Video Editor role; 2+ years for the Fast-Turnaround Editor role
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, with skills in motion graphics using After Effects
• Strong understanding of video pacing, sound design, and effective storytelling techniques
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with creators and provide constructive feedback
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
