Job Summary
To support the production of military-focused content, the contractor Video Editor will create engaging videos for a prominent YouTube channel, transforming scripts and interviews into polished, viewer-friendly pieces while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Edit two 16-to-20-minute videos and four 10-minute videos monthly, incorporating team feedback
- Gather and vet b-roll footage and imagery, ensuring alignment with script content and proper usage rights
- Implement animations and graphics from scripts with minimal direction, demonstrating a strong understanding of pacing and video structure
Required qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in video editing and motion graphics, preferably with a focus on YouTube content
- Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Familiarity with military equipment and platforms
- Solid understanding of YouTube delivery elements, including chaptering and thumbnail creation
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate curiosity about military and defense topics
