Job Summary

Creating engaging social content, the freelance Video Editor will produce vertical, captioned videos from CBS Sports programming for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, working on a flexible basis that includes nights and weekends during the sports seasons.

Key responsibilities

• Create vertical videos from CBS Sports programming, focusing on various shows and podcasts
• Collaborate with the social producer to craft optimized content for social media platforms
• Add creative elements to enhance videos, including footage, photos, text, and graphics

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in social/digital/video editing, with strong internships considered
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and capable of working across different media formats
• Strong understanding of pacing, captioning, and formatting for vertical, social-first platforms
• Willingness to work during prime time sports viewing hours, including nights and weekends
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under fast turnaround times
