Job Summary

Driving global audience strategy, the full-time remote Video Growth Manager will oversee video performance, manage a team of growth specialists, and lead the Creator Program to ensure high-quality content aligns with journalistic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of growth specialists while fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning
• Oversee the performance and growth strategy of original video content across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
• Lead the Creator Program by identifying talent, negotiating partnerships, and ensuring creator-led content aligns with The Athletic's brand

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in video growth, social media strategy, or digital publishing, with 3-5 years in people management
• Proven track record of managing teams and navigating complex organizations
• Deep understanding of the creator landscape and talent management
• Intimate knowledge of YouTube, TikTok, and Meta algorithms
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite for high-level creative direction and quality control
