Job Summary

To support a growing videogame studio, the remote contract-to-hire Videogame Studio Accountant will manage accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks while collaborating with a creative team in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Present accounting reports and financial forecasts to management for data-driven decision-making
• Handle QuickBooks categorization, bank reconciliation, and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Coordinate recruiting efforts and manage contractor relationships, including performance reviews and time-off requests

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in small-business accounting and administration
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Understanding of government filing, tax rules, and employment regulations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Passion for videogames and knowledge of the videogame industry
