Vietnamese Interpreter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vietnamese Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately relay oral information between speakers of two different languages in consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language
• Adhere to ethical codes and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Native fluency in English and Vietnamese
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to intervene as an intercultural mediator
• Excellent interpreting skills, including setting the tone of encounters and diffusing conflicts
• Understanding of ALTA policies on client confidentiality and interpreters' code of ethics
• Education in languages, translation, interpretation, or related fields preferred
