Job Summary

Providing professional interpreting services in healthcare settings, the independent contractor Vietnamese Interpreter will work remotely on a flexible schedule, conducting assignments via phone or Zoom based on demand.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret orally between Vietnamese and English in both directions, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Collaborate with medical professionals, patients, and community organizations to meet communication needs
• Manage assignments regularly based on language demand and interpreter qualifications

Required qualifications

• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English
• Demonstrated experience in medical, legal, and community interpreting
• Formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances and background checks
• Access to a reliable phone, laptop or desktop computer, and stable high-speed internet
