Virginia Certified Charge Capture Specialist

Job Summary

To support a collaborative healthcare environment, the full-time remote Virginia Certified Charge Capture Specialist will review clinical documentation, accurately assign facility level CPT codes, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while communicating effectively with healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately assign facility levels and procedure codes for ED/OBS services in accordance with CPT and CMS guidelines
• Communicate with providers and billing departments to ensure proper code selection and documentation accuracy
• Maintain knowledge of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS guidelines and make necessary changes to claims for accurate billing

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• CPC Certification
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
