Virginia Certified Court Interpreter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Federal or State Certified Court Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between the target language and English
• Conduct three-way telephonic, video conference, or on-site interpretations as required
• Travel to onsite interpretation assignments and sign certification forms attesting to the accuracy of interpretations

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the continental United States
• Willingness to undergo Public Trust security clearance processing
• A minimum of three to four years' experience in consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation
• Trained in the interpreting field and/or extensive experience in court or legal environments
• Strong command of legal vocabulary and fluency in both English and the target foreign language
