Virginia Licensed Accounting Adjunct

Job Summary

To foster student engagement and learning, the part-time Virginia Licensed Accounting Adjunct will teach accounting courses in a classroom, remote, or online setting while providing timely feedback and support to students.

Key responsibilities

• Create a conducive learning environment that promotes knowledge acquisition in accounting
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and utilize active learning strategies and technology to enhance student engagement
• Deliver instruction, conduct assessments, and provide feedback in accordance with college policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in the teaching field or a Master's with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field
• Teaching experience at the college level
• Knowledge of Canvas or other learning management systems
• Proven teaching strategies that promote student success
• Sufficient technology skills to effectively utilize instructional technology resources
