Virginia Licensed Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Virginia Licensed Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee the monthly close cycle, and ensure compliance with FAR and DCAA regulations in a hybrid remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the general ledger, leading the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Oversee billing operations for government contracts and ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Serve as the primary administrator of the Unanet ERP system, maintaining internal controls and improving accounting processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a government contracting environment
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, FAR Part 31, and DCAA compliance requirements
• Proven experience managing a general ledger and preparing financial statements
• Hands-on experience with Unanet ERP, including GL, billing, and reporting
