Virginia Licensed Anatomy Instructor

Job Summary

To support student learning in a dynamic educational environment, the part-time Virginia Licensed Anatomy Instructor will plan, organize, and teach Anatomy & Physiology courses, providing feedback and engaging with students both in-person and online.

Key responsibilities:

• Create a learning environment that facilitates knowledge and skill acquisition in Anatomy & Physiology
• Align course activities with student learning outcomes and employ active learning strategies to foster engagement
• Deliver instruction, conduct assessments, and provide timely feedback to students regarding their progress

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology with an emphasis on Anatomy & Physiology for lab instructors
• Master's Degree in Biology or a graduate degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Biology for lecture instructors
• Teaching experience at the college level, preferably in Anatomy & Physiology
• Knowledge of learning management systems, such as CANVAS
• Proven teaching strategies that promote student success and effective electronic communication skills
