Job Summary

To support the leadership of benefit programs, the full-time remote Virginia Licensed Benefit Programs Specialist IV will provide training and guidance to staff, manage complex case assignments, and ensure compliance with policies while working independently within established guidelines.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as a lead worker, providing training and guidance to other Benefit Programs Specialists
  • Manage complex cases and provide consultation on sensitive and confidential information
  • Ensure staff coverage and workload balance while preparing case records and reports
Required qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public assistance laws, policies, and caseload management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and interpret public policies independently
  • High School Diploma with relevant leadership experience in benefit programs or equivalent training
  • Proficiency in operating personal computers and agency software, including navigation of large databases
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
