Job Summary

Guiding J.D. students and alumni in their career planning and job search strategies, the full-time Assistant Dean or Director of Public Sector Career Advising will serve as the primary advisor for public sector employment opportunities while developing resources and programs to enhance professional development.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling on career goals, job search strategies, and professional development
• Oversee the Law School's participation in public sector job fairs and manage relationships with public sector employers
• Develop and deliver career-related workshops, resources, and targeted communications for students and alumni

Required qualifications:

• Juris doctor degree
• Prior law school career advising experience or significant legal practice experience (typically 5 years) for the Assistant Dean-level position
• Knowledge of legal career opportunities in the public sector and employment trends in the U.S. legal profession
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse constituencies, including students and employers
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills
